Signs are everywhere. The South of the Border Signs are famous as you travel south on I-95 heading toward South Carolina.

North Carolina Water Towers, originally uploaded by needlepointernc.

I started taking pictures of water towers when we moved to Omaha, Nebraska in 1998. There are not many water towers in New England, so they were a novelty for me. I like the novelty ones the best. Here are some of the North Carolina Water Towers I have taken pictures of in the last few weeks.

This one is for Tammy…

My Collage Challenge

2 01 2010

I am going to work on my own Collage Challenge this year. My goal is to do one every two weeks. I have an alphabet of themes. I want to take anywhere from 6-10 photos on each theme and them make a collage from these images. You are free to use my themes and play along. I have seen mention of the Virtual Photo Walk and will check that out too. But my bonus room is in need to decluttering. I have bins of photos etc that need scrapbooking, I have quilt projects that need finishing, I have 3 family tree books that need to be finished, and I have my photos books from the 365 challenge that I want to finish.

Day 365 365 Photos Theme #226 Passion

Chalk Peace Sign, originally uploaded by needlepointernc.

It is my PASSION for the world to have peace.

Let there be PEACE ON EARTH, and let it begin with me. We sang this in Temple and I know that it is a Church hymn as well. It has a universal message that we can only hope for in 2010.

Words and Music by Sy Miller and Jill Jackson

Let there be peace on earth
And let it begin with me.
Let there be peace on earth
The peace that was meant to be.
With God as our father
Brothers all are we.
Let me walk with my brother
In perfect harmony.

Let peace begin with me
Let this be the moment now.
With every step i take
Let this be my solemn vow.
To take each moment
And live each moment
With peace eternally.
Let ther be peace on earth,
And let it begin with me.
