President Clinton had never been to Nebraska, so in the last month of his presidency, he flew to Kearney, NE first to see the Great Platte River Archway that spans I-80. It is a cool museum too. Then he flew into Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue, NE. I stood in the cold for 2 hours to get to see him. It was worth the wait and I got some great pictures using my 200 telephoto lens and I was standing on one of those highway cement barrier things. Senator Bob Kerrey spoke, Governor Nelson spoke and the base Commander.
There were snipers on the roofs. The plane drove right up behind the podium. The presidential seal is not on the podium until some guy gets off of the other airplane that flies with the president and sticks it on the podium. I thought that that was funny!
Hey, we were there too, maybe we were standing right next to you? LOL Wonderful picture!!
(I was standing on one of those highway cement barrier things) Jersey Barrier. Good shot.
Great photo & story, love the part about the Seal!
