Rambles

I know that not everyone wants to read about my day so I am glad that I can make it a separate page. I want to make these rambles fun and constructive and not whiny. So, if you catch me whining, let me know.

I just checked the UPS tracking site and my new camera is due to arrive tomorrow! I am so excited. Except I still am not sure if I need to get a card for it… I decided to get the Canon EOS 50D and I ordered the 50-250MM IS telephoto. That is what I am really excited about. My other EOS lens will fit but they are not IS. Also the camera guy said that on the shorter lens, the wide angle will be less, but actually on my telephoto lens it will actually boost the lens length. So, you may see a flood of pics and I hope some better ones LOL.

We are finally closing on our refinance next week. Wow… what a pain. This is our second refi. We are now down to a 15 year biweekly mortgage at 4.35%. We got lucky and locked in at that rate in February when the rates were jumping. We use a credit union so that makes it better too for rates. But the underwriter didn’t like the appraisal – too high she said. So, they lowered it. Talk about an arbitrary number. House prices never went wild down here and our house has gone up in value still and we plan on staying so it doesn’t matter much.

I finished a Red Sox t-shirt quilt that I made for my Uncle up in Massachusetts. He loves the Red Sox. I pieced it and my fav quilter – The Quilting Cowgirl- quilted baseballs and bats on it.
